As our grade 12’s neared the end of their school journey with us, they held a fund raiser and gifted the school with a flag, picnic set and a contribution to the Alumni Fund.  The Honours Boards purchased by the parents of the matrics were unveiled.   We will celebrate your successes and look forward to hearing about the great things that you will be doing.

Pre-primary diversity books

Reading is important because it develops the mind. … Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its ability. Teaching young children to read helps them develop their language skills. It also helps them learn to listen. Let us encourage our children to become skilled readers.

Golf Day

Our annual golf day took place on Friday, 5 November at the Observatory Golf course. The golfers enjoyed a fabulous day on a beautiful, sunny day clad in their Sacred Heart golf shirts. The senior Marimba wowed the golfers with their musical talent.

Tour de Maths

Yaseen Dada and Esca Leonard in Grade 6 along with Ziben Zhang and Dumiso Nzimande in Grade 7, participated in the Tour de Maths competition.   Tour de Maths is an inter-schools Mathematics Problem Solving Competition open to Grade 6 and Grade 7 learners. The competition was hosted by Pridwin Prep School. Tour de Maths provides a great platform for learning Mathematics and Interacting with learners from other schools.

The Grow Barrel

The Grow Barrel provides an effective method of producing lots of fruits and vegetables on a small footprint as one barrel requires less than one square meter of space. The Grow Barrel is a fully sustainable system with a worm farm at the center of the barrel, which produces worm casting and a vermicompost solution that provides nutrients to the plants. Our long term goal is to integrate concepts of gardening, food security and entrepreneurship across the curriculum and in all the grades.

Valedictory 2021

Celebrating our ‘Class of 2021’ with a Valedictory service and an awards evening. Each student rang the heritage bell, this symbolises the end of their school career. We are proud of you, all the best for your final exams. Be the agents of change in the world.
