Celebrating Youth Day with the rest of South Africa.
The Sacred Heart College high school students initiated a fundraiser with the aim of purchasing and hoisting a pride flag in order to symbolise the safe space within Sacred Heart College for the LGBTQ+ community and to encourage inclusion and conversations surrounding this community.
Excitement at Sacred Heart College as we celebrated Africa Day. Our students dressed in traditional outfits, representing African countries.
Dale Carnegie for Young Adults is designed to prepare young people for the real world. It gives them the skills they need to reach their goals and live up to their full potential – at school, home and work. The curriculum was developed with feedback from students. It consists of eight three hour sessions or 3 full days, which include highly interactive sessions that include real-life scenarios and role- playing.
Gr 9 students consider the thread of their lives, how they can learn important things from everything that has happened, whether it be a positive experience or a difficult one.
