In this elective, we explored the Industrial Revolutions – from the first, to the fourth. We then explored the technological processes of the fourth Industrial Revolution and designed a train engine model.

Print Making

In this elective, we learnt how to screenprint in the context of the Medu Arts Ensemble – a collective during apartheid – who created Protest posters. The students had to choose a social issue they were passionate about and create a stencil design of a slogan which stated their opinion on the issue.

Story Book Project

The Storybook Project pushed the students in creative ways to develop their own stories in their own languages. They had to: conceptualise, write and illustrate these stories which they will eventually read to students in the Pre-Primary School

Ready Steady Sew

In this elective, we learnt how to use a sewing machine and how to sew by hand. Students went on an outing to Chamdor Fabric Shop and chose their own fabric to use. They created some interesting and bespoke designs.
